Fit for the Holidays

Stackpole Coaching

Updated: Dec 6, 2023

With young kids, I've gone to the gym less and less! Home workouts have made my life SO much easier the past several years. I wanted to share what I use in case you need to add to your own home gym area! This is a great time of year to ask for these as gifts as well, or get for someone you know who loves to workout at home!

If you need accountability this month, I'll be sharing in my Mindset & Movement group! Join us for inspiration, mindset tips, healthy recipes, and fitness! You deserve to feel fit and healthy!!

Now, let's break down my favs with some pros/cons!

1) Bowflex Adjustable dumbbells

Pros:

-small footprint for large range of weights!

-adjusts in 2.5 lb increments from 5 lbs to 52.5 lbs!

-great quality ; I've had them since December 2019 and they are still like new

Cons:

-can be difficult in workouts with super sets as you're setting them down to swap

-can be difficult with exercises meant to put bodyweight on dumbbell (such as in push up or plank position) as it is not as stable as a typical dumbbell

2) Under Desk Walking Pad

Pros:

-lighter weight and smaller than full treadmills

-easy to use with standing desk while working

Cons:

-max speed of 4 mph (though, when I'm multitasking-- like when I use this-- I'm not able to go faster than that!)
